Summer School on EU Energy Law and Policy: public Intervention in the European Energy Sector: Florence May 26- 31
During the five day residential training, participants will gain a sound knowledge of the recent developments in EU energy law and policy, and a deeper understanding of the market and economic principles which underpin legal provisions.
The course will analyse the ambitions of the European Energy Union and how these will be realised in practice, exploring the legal framework behind the objectives alongside in-depth studies on the future role of energy consumers and the impending challenges for gas and electricity market players.
The course will examine:
- The legal and policy framework of the European Energy Union
- How to apply the rules in practice
- The role of Consumers and Retail Pricing
- The Future of the EU gas market
- The future of the EU electricity market
Throughout the programme, participants will study relevant case studies, and consider how these issues can be applied in practice.
